It’s not every day that you come across a promotional image that screams “badass” as much as this one: a giant seven-cylinder with a bearded Chris Hemsworth on it, clutching a tiny teddy bear. The perfect promo picture, taken by Jasin Boland, for the upcoming film “Furiosa,” starring Anya Taylor-Joy. If the image isn’t enough to get your adrenaline pumping, here is the first trailer:
Can Anya Taylor-Joy bring the same intensity to the role of Furiosa that Charlize Theron brought in “Fury Road”? We will have to wait and see, I’m sure it wont be as bad as the bland Tom Hardy. Theron’s Furiosa was a force to be reckoned with, a fierce and determined warrior. The reason given for her absence was ‘technical limitations’ whatever that means.
Like many vehicles in the Mad Max universe, this chopper is the epitome of impracticality. But it looks badass and somehow in the future there is no room for fuel saving hybrid or even electric. Who knows, perhaps burning the most fuel is a status symbol? So why not mount , what looks like an airplane engine, on a giant low riding motorbike. It seems perfect for your rocky desert riding!
It is great to see we are facing a future where mankind does the one thing we can all be proud of: Make death look cool by design! Crazy, impractical sleek curves, the shiny chrome, the rugged tires. It’s a visual feast for the eyes. And that seven-cylinder radial engine? It’s a thing of beauty. Sure, it may not be the most efficient or reliable engine out there, but we all know sand is easily impressed by a badass look and will stay away from this bike! Can’t wait to see the movie!
